5 Casino Games with the Lowest House Edge

When you go to a live casino, you always go and play the games that you want to play. This could be the slot machine, roulette, or even a game of poker.

With that being said, there is this notion that whatever you do, the house always wins. That concept is known as the house edge or the statistical advantage that casinos have over the players in any game.

Even though that concept is true, take solace in the fact that the house edge is different depending on the game that you play.

There are some games that have an incredibly high house edge and there are those that are manageable.

So today, I am going to highlight some casino games with the lowest possible house edge so that ultimately, you come out the winner.

Blackjack

The best game that you can play that has the lowest house advantage possible is a single-deck blackjack. The good thing is that most casinos still offer this game and the house edge is typically just 1.5%.

Before playing, I highly recommend that you take care of your finances first and set aside a budget specifically for gambling. After that, follow your own strategy and stick to it at all costs.

Although card counting is not illegal, there are some casinos that might apprehend you if you try to do it. If you are going to do it, do your very best not to get caught.

Craps

This is arguably the most exciting game that provides you with the lowest house edge possible. Unlike Blackjack where the house edge stays at 1.5%, you can go as low as 1.4% if you bet on the don’t pass/don’t come portion of the table. By doing so, you only get a house edge of 1.4%.

Now, this only presupposes that you play in an actual casino, so if you are playing in an online casino, study the rules and see if the same thing applies.

Baccarat

Similar to Blackjack, a game of Baccarat has a house edge of only 1.5%. This is one of the only simplest games that you can play in the casino that has a relatively low casino advantage.

The reason that it is simple is that you only have to bet on three entities: The Player, banker, or a tie.

Sure, it follows some really strict card distribution rules, but the premise of the game still remains somewhat easier than others; making this a perfect choice for beginners.

3-Card Poker

There are many variations of poker, but if you want to play a game with some of the lowest possible casino advantages, I recommend that you play either the King High or Queen High variety.

Beginners would want to play Queen High as it gives the best possible chance for you to win back your original bet (and then some). However, if you are bold and daring, go for the King High. Both games have a casino edge of only 1.5%.

Video Poker

Although you can possibly get to a casino edge of only 0.5%, playing video poker is hard since the game is based purely on luck. Sure, you can implement your own strategy, but it may not be as fruitful as the other games.
